Power Puck Model 9-IS/Black
The Power Puck Model 9-IS/BLACK Energy Harvester is an Intrinsically Safe (IS) certified power solution for the Rosemount® 3051S wireless pressure sensor. The Power Puck Model 9-IS can also be a power solution for a variety of other industrial wireless sensors depending on power requirements.
When attached to a heat source that provides a 30°C temperature difference to ambient (or deltaT), the Power Puck output will exceed the power requirements of the 3051S at update rates as fast as 2 seconds. At this consistent level of deltaT and sensor update rates, the only power related maintenance costs would be driven by the inherent shelf life of the back-up battery in the IPM. With a 40°C temperature difference the Power Puck will completely power the 3051S for its useful life at all update rates.
What's in the Box
The solution consists of a Power Puck® 60 Energy Harvester, an Intelligent Power Module (IPM) that replaces the Emerson Black Power Module®, and a 6 meter cable and cable gland. The IPM includes a back-up battery, with additional connections for external power. The cable comes with a female M12 connector which mates to the Power Puck and leads which will connect to terminals on the IPM that installs directly into the 3051S sensor.

Mounting Options and Accessories
Power Pucks come standard with magnetic mounts intended for flat metallic surfaces. Plate mounts allow attaching to curved heat surfaces such as pipes - see Mounting Options for more details. The plate mount bases attach directly to a variety of Perpetua pipe adapters or heat pipes depending upon the heat source used.
